Exclusive sneak peek for Village People readers — brand new King’s Lynn resort
A new multi-million-pound luxury resort has been opened in King’s Lynn which promises to significantly increase tourism levels in the region.
Owned by fast-growing luxury holiday resort operator Darwin Escapes, the brand new Norfolk Woods Resort & Spa comes on the back of a significant overhaul of the former touring caravan site, Pentney Holiday Park, which had been a stalwart in the region for decades.
However, the changing preferences of UK holidaymakers has resulted in a complete regeneration of the holiday park to turn it into a luxury retreat complete with a whole host of on-site facilities including a spa, restaurant, bar and state-of-the-art gymnasium; all of which will be available for the benefit of local residents as well as holidaymakers and holiday home owners staying at Norfolk Woods Resort & Spa.
In total there will be 80 holiday lodges made available for hire at Norfolk Woods, with an additional 38 plots on site reserved for holiday home ownership, with the price of purchasing a lodge on site ranging from £80,000 to £190,000 to reflect the enhanced luxury offering.
The increased number of facilities available on site
Darwin Escapes was keen to stress that the popular on-site convenience shop at Pentney Holiday Park has been retained for the benefit of local residents, but has undergone a major makeover to ensure that it adheres to the high standards which Darwin Escapes’ other locations have become synonymous with.
Managing Director of Darwin Escapes, Lindsey Esse, commented:
We are investing millions of pounds in the location to create a destination which offers our guests everything they could wish for on a self-catered lodge holiday. We know what people are looking for in a great British holiday, which is why all our parks offer the highest standards of accommodation, facilities and service.
Norfolk Woods Resort & Spa is the 22nd destination to have been opened by Darwin Escapes in the UK and the 9th location in their portfolio to offer holiday home ownership. The group is hoping that the resort will emulate the success of their other resorts, including Keswick Reach Lodge Retreat in the Lake District, which has won the Holiday Park of the Year Award at the Prestigious Hoseasons Awards for two years consecutively.
The potential influx of holidaymakers to the region is good news for local businesses, who are sure to capitalise on the increased footfall which Norfolk Woods promises to bring.
Of course, of more interest to local residents will be the on-site facilities, which will be made available for the benefit of those in the local area. We’d like Village People readers to be aware that a limited number of gym membership slots will be made available at a competitive price to grant locals access to the state-of-the-art facilities which have been created, as well as the indoor heated swimming pool.
The Norfolk Woods Restaurant will also be open to locals and has won early plaudits for the quality of the cuisine on offer, as well as the welcoming ambience created by the in-house team.
