This is a gem of a book and possibly my favourite East Anglian interest title of the year.

The author has worked over a number of years to compile a completely fascinating record of Norfolk treasures (and by treasures we mean buildings, art and landscapes – a huge, comprehensive listing and a broad range of the elements that make the county special) of which this is the first of three volumes, the next two due to follow during the next two years. You can’t possibly fail to learn something new about the county by consulting this book and it will spur you on to explore this endlessly fascinating and rewarding part of the world.
