Buckenham Marshes is a magnet for winter migrants. With numerous different species over wintering here, join our expert warden and learn how to identify a selection of the waders, wildfowl and other inhabitants of this special wet grassland reserve. Physical ID knowledge will be complemented with behaviour and bird calls, as well as, local knowledge on where to find different wintering species and the best times to spot them.
We have the chance of seeing a good range of wildfowl, raptors and waders, often reaching a spectacular peak with flocks in the thousands, along with the possibility of seeing England’s only wintering flock of taiga bean geese. This is a special experience not to be missed!

Meeting point – The meeting point for this event is the Buckenham RSPB car park. Next to Buckenham Station
