UEA Choir, Chamber Choir and Symphony Orchestra auditions 2020
UEA Choir, Chamber Choir and Symphony Orchestra are looking for new members. If you are a keen singer or orchestral player and are interested in joining UEA Symphony Orchestra or one of UEA’s flourishing choirs, please audition!
All three ensembles are open to all (students, staff and members of the community). Choirmaster Tom Primrose welcomes singers of all abilities and levels of experience to the 150-strong UEA Choir, and singers with some prior choral experience and sight-singing ability to the 30-strong UEA Chamber Choir. UEA Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Director of Music Stuart Dunlop, is open to players of Grade 7 standard or above (this is the approximate standard at which you play, you do not need to have passed any exams).
All singers and players are auditioned, however, this year, due to social distancing restrictions, applicants will be asked to do a recorded, rather than live, audition. If you would like to audition for UEA Choir, Chamber Choir or Symphony Orchestra, please, submit an online application (https://bit.ly/3fGrgyB) and record yourself singing or playing, upload the video to YouTube as an unlisted item and email the link to [email protected] by 11am on Friday 25 September (if you are unable to make a recording, but would still like to audition, email [email protected] and we will do our best to help).
