UEA Choir, Chamber Choir and Symphony Orchestra Auditions
The University of East Anglia Music Centre’s Choirs and Orchestra are looking for new members and welcome all, whether from the University or beyond. If you are a keen singer or orchestral player, please come along and audition.
UEA Choir, Chamber Choir, and Symphony Orchestra rehearse weekly in the UEA Music Centre and perform a number of concerts, each year, in St Andrew’s Hall and other Norwich venues. All three ensembles are open to all, by audition. Choirmaster Tom Primrose welcomes singers of all abilities and levels of experience to the 100-strong UEA Choir, and singers with some prior choral experience and sight-singing ability to the 30-strong UEA Chamber Choir. UEA Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Director of Music Stuart Dunlop, is open to players of Grade 7/8 standard or above (this is the approximate standard at which you play; you do not need to have passed any exams).
Auditions for all three ensembles are short, friendly and will take place on Friday 22 and Monday 25 September in the UEA Music Centre. If you would like to audition, please either fill out an online audition application form or email [email protected] to book an audition.
