Ringstead Open Gardens
A wonderful blaze of colour, cakes and community spirit on Sunday 27th June 2021 raising funds for St Andrew’s Church. Visitors can make a day of it touring the village to discover a variety of gardens – large and small and one even offering a chance to play Pétanque (Boules), so come and have a go! The gardens are opening specially to the public from 11am to 5pm. Tickets are £5 to cover entry to all the gardens – U12s go FREE. The delicious home cooked 2 course lunch is always a popular draw and will be served in Ringstead Village Hall from 12-2pm @ £12.30 per head. Teas and Coffees will be served from 2pm til 5pm. With the added bonus of traditional Cake and Produce stalls, Tombola, Raffle, the unmissable Plant Stall and live guitarist, it has all the makings of a fun day out for all ages.
St Andrew’s Church itself will play host to a Flower Festival across 3 days from Sat 26th to Mon 28th June (10am-5pm) and this year’s theme is ‘Our Favourite Hymns’ .
For those looking to explore more, you can walk in nearby Ringstead Downs and Chalk Pit. Courtyard Farm is also hosting a special walk, guided by their conservationist who will offer an insight into the organic farming methods. Please meet at 4.30pm at the Cow Sheds on Burnham Road.
