One Exhibition Two Artists
Friends for over 40 years, John Atkinson and Charles Jamieson thought it would be fun to exhibit together. Showing paintings with an East Anglian ambience and atmosphere. John focusing on depicting characters, each with their own story and Charles its landscape and scenery.
Charles paints the landscape using the light and big skies of East Anglia, the paint transforming into those flickers of light moving through the fields and trees.
John takes period photographs and scenes from his imagination. His creativity and ability conjuring up images and atmosphere from the past, of people and places, as well as capturing some of todays characters.
