Richard Caister, The ‘Good Vicar’ of 15th-Century Norwich by Frank Meeres, retired archivist and local author
Richard Caister was vicar of St Stephen’s, Norwich from 1402 to 1420. He became known for his preaching and writing and for his concern for the poor – his reputation for sanctity was so great that after his death people made pilgrimages to his grave. This event offers a rare opportunity to look at original archive material relating to Richard and his time.
