Do you know your reed warbler from your sedge warbler? Would you like to be more confident in identifying birds by sight and sound? We are running a bird identification course for those who want to improve their skills in bird calls/songs as well as identification in the field including different plumages, habitats and behaviours.

The course will comprise of three sessions; 9 April for our resident birds, 23 April to find the first migrants of spring. Finally, 7 May to see and hear the fen and woodland in full song, with all migrants having arrived to boost the resident species. Listen out for up to ten species of warbler as well as some of the more easily recognisable fen species such as cuckoos, bitterns and grasshopper warblers! Recent years have seen an impressive list of around 100 species seen over the three-day course. The course will be limited to six spaces for a more personal experience with our expert warden. A very special opportunity!

Booking Essential via Eventbrite as only 6 spaces available – http://bit.ly/ImproverBirdWatchingCourse
