The impact of modern farming techniques on time hallowed practice.
David Mitchell has been farming in Winfarthing for over 70 years. During this time, as well as breeding pigs and growing numerous crops, he has developed many mechanical and engineering items and been awarded several farming awards and commendations.
He acknowledges the importance of modern technical skills, especially in reducing pollution, but his talk reviews many farming skills that were essential at one time and laments how they are being lost fast.
