Chantry Palace celebrates the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III
Chantry Palace to return for coronation celebrations at Chantry Place
Chantry Place Norwich will once again rebrand to Chantry Palace to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.
From Saturday 22nd April 2023 until Monday 8th May 2023, visitors will be able to enjoy a free photo opportunity with a royal throne, red carpet and royal backdrop.
Chantry Palace will also be decorated with colourful crowns by local school children from Lionwood Infant School, The Free School Norwich, Magdalen Gates Primary School, Fairhaven C.E V.A Primary School and the Hamlet Centre.
Paul McCarthy, general manager at Chantry Place, said: “Last year’s Jubilee celebrations were a huge success with our transformation to Chantry Palace, our throne and bunting decorated by local schools. The Coronation of King Charles III is the perfect opportunity to bring Chantry Palace back, celebrate and mark this special occasion, and collaborate with schools from our local community. Plus, we will also be supporting our friends at Alive UK with The Big Help Out element of the celebrations and will announce details nearer the time.”
Chantry Place is hosting free events throughout the year, including its Easter event from Saturday 1st April 2023 until Sunday 16th April 2023 with a self-led Easter chick trail around the Centre, as well as visits from the RSPB on select days. There will also be a prize on offer for the winner, worth over £140, as well as stickers for all children taking part.
