Art Exhibition
Norwich Art Circle’s forthcoming 211th exhibition at Becket’s Chapel, in Wymondham, has a special connection to one of Norfolk’s best-known artists, Sir Alfred Munnings RA.
The exhibition, running from 6–11 October, features a special black-and-white theme inspired by Munnings and the Art Circle’s own history of monochrome exhibitions dating back to 1899.
There is a particularly strong local story behind the event: Munnings was himself a member of the Norfolk and Norwich Art Circle, and the exhibition is being staged in collaboration with the Munnings Art Museum to mark 65 years since the museum opened at his former home.
The Art Circle, founded in 1885, has played a part in Norfolk’s artistic life for more than 140 years and today has more than 200 members.
The exhibition runs from Tuesday 6 October to Sunday 11 October 2026, and will be open daily from 11am to 4pm.
A Private View will take place on Monday 5 October from 6pm to 8pm, and everyone is welcome to attend.
