Art exhibition
Colin Latter was totally immersed in the early days of punk in the 70s and 80s, performing in bands with punk legends such as Björk and Chumbawamba. He also used his artistic skills to design artwork for numerous record labels, and their gig posters.
In this latest show at the Fisher Theatre Gallery, Colin presents a very personal collection of works, depicting inanimate everyday objects of the mid-20th century – a Dansette record player, a transistor radio, a calculator, an Olivetti typewriter – alongside tubes of oil paint inherited from his father, who was also a painter.
The exhibition – Colin Latter: Sub-Tract – will be at the Fisher Theatre Gallery from 23 September to 9 November. The preview, which is open to everyone, will be held on Saturday 21 September from 4.30-6.30pm.
