Fit, Fun & Fundraising Weekend
The Norfolk and Norwich Hospitals Charity is holding a fundraising community fitness weekend at the Reef Leisure Centre on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May.
Activities and classes include bootcamps, circuits, POP Pilates, Clubbercise, Tai Chi, Step, Yoga and Rock Box, with each day ending with a rejuvenating sound bath session. Spin classes are available both in person and virtually for all attendees. The Reef also has a fun family inflatable session available to book separately on the Saturday afternoon.
By participating in the event, you will be supporting the Norfolk and Norwich Hospitals Charity. The Charity raises vital funds for the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital, Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital and Cromer Hospital.
This enables investment in resources, over and above what the NHS funds, including:
Innovation and research
Development and wellbeing support for Trust staff
Additional medical equipment
Improvements to the hospital environment and the provision of resources to support patients
All areas of the hospitals are touched by the charity including cancer care, neonatal intensive care, end of life care and critical care. Most recently, the charity has invested £3.2 million to purchase two additional Da Vinci robots for the use in surgery. These robots enable minimally-invasive, high-precision procedures in urology, colorectal, gynaecology and GI surgery, reducing patient recovery times, complications and hospital stays.
All monies raised will go to the Charity and its vital work.
