Weave a beautiful and useful willow birdfeeder. A versatile piece which can be used in the garden for fat balls or jars for candles, or in the kitchen to store onions or lemons!

Karen is a local basket maker and has a studio in Suffolk. She says, ‘basketry has opened my eyes to a wealth of creative possibilities. I cherish the traditional but love the freedom of the contemporary. Handling materials of all kinds whilst making baskets ensures I feel connected to something bigger and keeps me happy’.

This half-day course is suitable for beginners with no prior knowledge of basket work. You will make a conical bird feeder using two different weaves, a simple border & handle. No previous experience necessary.

Handouts and inspirational reference books will be available.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided and are included in the cost of the course. (£25)
