The Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library’s collection of Renaissance books, held in the Norfolk Heritage Centre on Floor 2 of the Forum, is one of Norwich’s greatest treasures, just waiting to be discovered. This spectacular collection contains books from the centuries soon after the invention of the printing press, books which demonstrate the different ways in which this new technology was used to disseminate knowledge, engage readers, and celebrate craftsmanship. To show how inspiring these books can still be today, East Anglian designers have produced their own creative responses to the collection. Drop in any time between 10.30am and 4.30pm to see what they have made and get your hands on the Renaissance books that inspired them. Chat to the designers about their creative process and explore the books themselves with experts in Renaissance literature from UEA. This event is brought to you by Unlocking the Archive and is part of Being Human: a national festival of the humanities. Twitter: @archiveunlocked
